7 PM Mass for the “Feast of the Assumption of Mary”

Troop 24 of our parish is camping at Moses Scout Reservation this week.

Composed by St. Simon Stock (c. 1165-1265), to whom the Virgin gave "the Brown Scapular." ****FLOS CARMELI*** O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendour of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this, my necessity. (Here ention your intention.) O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein that thou art my Mother O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech thee, from the bottom of my heart, to succour me in this necessity; there are none that can withstand Thy power. O show me herein that thou art my Mother. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to to thee. (3 times) Sweet Mother, I place this cause in in thy hands. (3 times)

Calling all "Saint Joseph & Saint Therese" Parishioners!!! This Saturday, June 29th, we as a parish family will be welcoming one of our new pastors, Father Dan. He is coming to meet his new parish family for the first time. Please come and show him your support and let him know that we love him and look forward to his being our new shepherd. This is not only a meet and greet, it is a "Meet ~ Greet AND Eat." Father Dan will celebrate the 4:00 Vigil Mass and he will break the Lord's bread upstairs, and we will break bread for cacoila and tuna sandwiches downstairs.

Thank you Father Hamel for being our Shepherd for the past 15 years. And thank you to Troup 24 and their leaders for all that you do for our parish. May God continue to bless us with protection and guidance in the future months! 🙏🏼

Here are some great facts to help dispel any untruths you may have heard about St. Joseph/St. Therese Parish in the North End of New Bedford MA. I’m proud to call this my Home Church. Our beautiful marble church has genuine poured Italian terrazzo floors, stained glass windows from Germany! Inside holds a Shrine with the Saint Therese statue from the former St. Theresa’s! We have a beautiful new Chapel for daily Mass! Our church has wonderful events such as pancake breakfasts and various themed dinners in the beautiful recently renovated parish kitchen and social hall. If you haven’t been to St. Joseph St. Therese in a while I’d recommend coming to a Mass this weekend and see it for yourself!! With seating for 900, we have room to grow! Please share!!
